Sacred Heart Academy of Ocean Beach is a Catholic elementary school
serving students in grades kindergarten through grade eight in the Pt.
Loma, Ocean Beach area of San Diego.
Sacred Heart Academy has distinguished itself as a hallmark of
excellence in Catholic education. Since 1994 our school has been the
premiere Core Knowledge school in the state of California. Through the
adoption of the Core Knowledge curriculum we are able to offer our
students a challenging classical education.
Our school has a population of 200 students with one class at each
grade level. Because we are a small school, we are truly a family. With a
professional, dedicated staff and strong parent participation in the
educational process, we provide the nurturing necessary to ensure that
every child is treated as a very special person at Sacred Heart Academy.
As a result of our strong academic program, our students have
distinguished themselves in many areas of academic competition -
Diocesan, county, and state Science Fair first places; city and
county-wide writing first places; and city-wide art competition first
places.
